Artist in Residence, 2005
2 month full time residency with children K-4th Grade, Chicago Illinois
Creation of interactive panorama, focused on ideas of community. Materials included collage, poetry, live plants, stones, found objects and puppets.
Children also studied the work of local artists such as Kerry James Marshall and Tony Fitzpatrick to see how community manifests in these artist's work.
The project also included several community service projects, such as one collaboration with Free Street Theatre's show Recyclone, where Salazar
school children embellished puppets that were used in the Recyclone performance.
